The capacity of the auditorium is 248 seats +  2 spaces for wheelchairs or similar.

Length of the Talks
• Oral presentations are 20 minutes including discussion
• Invited presentations are 30 minutes including discussion
• Keynote presentations are 45 minutes long plus discussion.

Speakers are asked to check-in with the session chair in the room of their relevant session ten minutes before the beginning of the session.

Attendance at, or participation in, Biology For Physics 2022 constitutes consent to the use and distribution by EPS of the attendee’s image for informational, publicity, promotional and/or reporting purposes in print or electronic communications media.
Video recording by participants and other attendees during the conference is not allowed. Photographs of copyrighted PowerPoint or other slides are for personal use only and are not to be reproduced or distributed.

Passport and visa requirements

Foreign visitors entering in Spain must be in possession of a valid ID or passport. EU nationals, in general, do not require a visa. Delegates from countries requiring visas should apply to the Spanish consular offices or diplomatic missions in their home countries. Those who need a visa must satisfy the visa requirements of their local Spanish Embassy/Consulate including

  • Invitation Letter VISA
  • a confirmed travel booking, including flight, train and/or bus bookings, hotel reservation and health insurance 
  • a confirmed order for their online registration as well as any special local requirements. 

Therefore, all participants requiring a visa should first register for the conference. Contributors requesting a letter of invitation should pre-fill the Invitation Letter and return it to the European Physical Society (conferences@eps.org) to be duly signed and returned to the recipients. Important: The invitation letter will only be sent to contributors who have submitted a contribution. The reference of the paper will be asked.

Only email invitations will be sent. In case an express air shipment needs to be done, this needs to be specified in the email request. All costs pertaining to this shipment need to be paid in advance (approximate cost 70€)

Cash machines in Barcelona accept debit and credit cards backed by Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro.

Electricity

As in most Europe, the electricity supply in Barcelona is 230v. Electrical sockets take standard European two-pin plugs. If necessary, British, North American or other physicists should bring adaptors.

Public transportation

The Barcelona public transportation network is efficient and highly integrated. Public transportation runs frequently during the day and at night.
